Jenna was the only female born in Lexy's first litter. We kept her because we were concerned that if something happened
to Lexy, we would have Jenna. Jenna was an "ugly duckling" kees up to about 6mos of age, then she started to blossom. She was one of those bitches
that was pushy and assertive with other dogs, but very loving to people. Jenna had an attitude and that, along with her breed assets, made her a great show girl.
She was always full-bodied and
had beautiful silver and black color with no tawny at all. She moved smoothly, front and rear. Jenna finished her Championship in the lower 48 easily at 10mos of age,
always breeder/owner/handled. With one trip to Canada, Jenna finished her Canadian Championship in 3 days, with 5-5-5 points, going Best of Breed all three days at one year of age, again,
breeder/owner/handled. She also picked up a Best Puppy In Show that weekend. Jenna went on to win Best of Opposite in Sweepstakes at
the KCDV (Keeshond Club of Delaware Valley) Specialty show in Sept 1988. Jenna had the heart & soul of a true show dog. She
loved the show ring and never stopped showing, even in sun and rain. That was proven when she won Best of Opposite Sex in Specialty at
KCDV during National Weekend in 1989 in the pouring rain. It didn't matter to Jenna that she was wet & had raindrops in her eyes, she
just kept on showing off and strutting with her head held high.
During her show career, Jenna ranked in the top 10 kees show bitches for a couple of years.
Jenna was a career "show girl". She was not much for motherhood. She was bred one time, producing two champion sons. Because Jenna didn't like
motherhood, we did not breed her again. The lineage is carried on by her two sons and her brothers, Stuff, Justy and Bob. (Am/Can Ch. A*starz Right Stuff

In the last 10yrs or so of her life, Jenna was a pampered and spoiled companion to my father, John Stekli in Ohio. Her last "public appearance" was in
the Veteran Bitch class at the National in 2002, the oldest kees in the show, where she strutted her stuff and had fun. Jenna had a full life and
was loved to the end.
On July 1, 2003, Jenna suffered a stroke, just 2mos shy of her 16th birthday. The decision was made, out of love, to have her put to sleep. She didn't go alone, her best
man John and my sister Bev were with her. She went peacefully. Jenna is now happily running & chasing Chase, her brothers, sons, her mom, her sire and all the rest of the kees..... over the rainbow bridge.
